His extensive civil qualifications and training courses include certifications in trekking, rock climbing, basic and advanced mountaineering, high mountain rescue, and more. In the Himalayas, Ongchu Sherpa has conquered iconic peaks multiple times, including Everest, Makalu, Manaslu, and Amadablam. Notably, he achieved the first ascent of Gangchenpo and has an impressive record on peaks like Lobuche, Island, Mera, and Chulu Far East. Beyond the Himalayas, his adventurous spirit led him to conquer peaks in Peru, South America, such as Pisco, Huascaran, Vallunaraju, Ishinca, Tocllaraju, Chopicalqui, Urus, and Ranrapalca. In Europe, he triumphed over Mont Blanc in France and Blümlisalp in Switzerland.
