Day04 Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar(3,443m/11,299ft)
We will start early in the morning and head towards Namche Bazaar. As you continue on the trail, you will come across several small villages and settlements, where you can stop for a quick break or enjoy a warm cup of tea. One such village is Jorsale, which marks the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park. Here, you will need to show your permits before proceeding further. Before starting the trek, make sure that you have obtained the necessary permits, as they are required to enter the Sagarmatha National Park.
After Jorsale, you will cross several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge, which was built by Sir Edmund Hillary himself. As you cross the bridge, take a moment to admire the stunning views of the river and the surrounding mountains including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
The trek will take us through beautiful forests filled with rhododendron and magnolia trees. We will cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River, which flows from the glaciers of the Himalayas. The trail is quite steep in some places, and we will climb steadily up to Namche Bazaar, which is the main trading center of the Khumbu region.
Day05 Rest Day at Namche Bazaar (3,443m/11,299ft)
After a challenging climb to Namche Bazaar, the rest day allows trekkers to acclimate to the high altitude and prepare for the upcoming days of the trek. Namche Bazaar is the largest town in the Khumbu region and is known for its stunning views of the Himalayas. On this day, trekkers have the opportunity to explore the town, visit the local markets, and immerse themselves in the local culture.
For those who prefer a more relaxed day, Namche Bazaar offers plenty of opportunities to relax and soak in the breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Trekkers can find a cozy café or bakery to enjoy a cup of coffee and some delicious pastries while admiring the stunning mountain views.
Day06 Trek from Namche Bazaar to Dole (4,200m/13780ft)
The trail from Namche Bazaar to Dole is mostly uphill, and trekkers will continue to climb to higher altitudes. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, including the majestic Ama Dablam and the Khumbu Valley. Along the way, trekkers may encounter local Sherpas and their yaks carrying supplies up and down the trail.
Upon reaching Dole, trekkers will be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Dole is a small village with a few lodges and teahouses, offering a cozy and comfortable place to spend the night.
Day07 Trek from Dole to Machhermo (4,470m/14665ft)
We will start our trek from Dole and follow the trail that leads to the village of Luza. From Luza, we will climb up a steep hill and pass through a dense forest of rhododendron and juniper trees. This forest is home to a variety of wildlife, including Himalayan Thars, musk deer, and pheasants.
In Machhermo, we will stay overnight at a tea house and enjoy some well-deserved rest. We will also have the opportunity to explore the village and interact with the friendly locals, who are known for their hospitality and warmth.
Day08 Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo Lake (4,790m/15715ft)
You will start your day by ascending towards the Ngozumpa glacier, which is the longest glacier in the Himalayas. After crossing the glacier, you will reach the second lake in the Gokyo valley, called the Taujung Tsho.
As you continue your trek, you will pass by the third lake, called the Gokyo Cho. Here, you will get the first glimpse of the Gokyo village, which is located on the shores of the lake. The village is surrounded by beautiful mountains, including the Cho Oyu, which is the sixth highest mountain in the world.
Day09 Explore a day in Gokyo (4,790m/15715ft)
During your rest day, you can take a stroll around the village and explore the local culture and lifestyle of the Sherpa people. You can also visit the Gokyo Ri, which is a popular hiking destination in the region. The Gokyo Ri is a hill located above the Gokyo village, which offers breathtaking views of the Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu mountains.
It is important to acclimatize well during your rest day in Gokyo, as it will prepare you for the challenging trek ahead. You should drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol and smoking, and take proper rest. You can also engage in light physical activities like yoga or meditation, which can help you relax and rejuvenate.
Day10 Trek from Gokyo crossing Renjo La pass (5,360m/17585ft) and trek to Lumde (4,400m/14435ft)
You will start your day early in the morning and climb towards the Renjo La Pass, which is located at an altitude of 5360 meters. The climb is steep and challenging, and you need to be physically fit and well acclimatized to complete it comfortably. However, the views from the top are worth the effort.
After reaching the top of the Renjo La Pass, you will descend towards the Lumde valley. The trail is steep and rocky, and you need to be careful while trekking down. You will pass through the lush forests of rhododendron and juniper, which are home to a variety of wildlife, including the musk deer and Himalayan thar.
As you reach Lumde, you will be greeted by the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the village. The village is located on the shores of the Dudh Koshi River, and you can take a refreshing dip in the river to relax your tired muscles.
Day11 Trek from Lumde to Thame (3,820m/12533ft)
You will start your day by descending towards the Bhote Koshi River, which is a tributary of the Sun Koshi River. After crossing the river, you will climb up towards the village of Taranga, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. As you continue your trek, you will pass through several small Sherpa settlements, including Marlung and Sumna Phug. You will also cross several suspension bridges over the roaring rivers, which add to the adventure of the trek.
Thame is a traditional Sherpa village that offers a glimpse into the rich culture and lifestyle of the Sherpa people. You can also visit the Thame monastery, which is one of the oldest monasteries in the Khumbu region.
Day12 Trek from Thame to Namche (3,443m/11,299ft)
You will start your day by descending towards the Bhote Koshi river and cross a bridge over it. From there, you will begin ascending towards the Namche Bazaar, which is the largest village in the Khumbu region.
As you trek towards Namche, you will be greeted by the beautiful views of the Himalayas, including the Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. You will also pass by several small villages and monasteries along the way, which offer insights into the local culture and way of life.

Day13 Trek from Namche to Lukla (2850m/9350ft)
You will start your day by descending towards the Dudh Koshi River and cross it via a suspension bridge. From there, you will continue your trek towards the small village of Monjo, where you will have to show your permits at the entrance of the Sagarmatha National Park.
After crossing Monjo, you will continue your descent towards the Phakding village, where you can take a break and have some snacks. From there, you will continue your trek towards Lukla, passing through several small villages and beautiful landscapes.
As you approach Lukla, you will be able to see the airport runway, which is considered to be one of the most dangerous airports in the world due to its short runway and challenging location. However, you can take comfort in knowing that you have successfully completed your trek and are now ready to return home.
Day14 Lukla to Kathmandu (1,320m/4,330ft) by flight. Transfer to Hotel.
You will be taking a scenic flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. The flight takes around 35 minutes and offers spectacular views of the Himalayan mountains and landscapes. After landing in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. You can take some rest and relax after the long and exciting trek.
Day15 Free day in Kathmandu. Visit places of interest by own. Farewell Dinner
You will have a free day in Kathmandu. You can spend the day as per your own interests and visit the places you have always wanted to explore in Kathmandu. Kathmandu is a vibrant city that has a lot to offer to its visitors.
You can also visit the bustling markets of Thamel and Asan, which are famous for their vibrant atmosphere and unique shopping experience. Here, you can buy souvenirs and handicrafts, as well as taste the local street food.
In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner with your trekking group, where you can share your experiences and memories of the trek. You can also try the traditional Nepali cuisine and enjoy cultural performances.
Day16 Departure day
The final day of the Gokyo and Renjo-La Pass Trek is a bittersweet moment as you say goodbye to the stunning Himalayas and head back home. The transfer to the airport and the flight back to Kathmandu are organized by your trekking agency, and you will have enough time to explore Lukla and Kathmandu.
